Watford

There’s something for everyone here, and it’s easy to get to on our 602 or 635 routes. There are some great independent shops alongside the big High Street names, and a huge choice of places to grab a bite to eat or coffee.

If you’re after a bit of retail therapy, try Atria Watford – one of the region’s largest indoor shopping destinations, right in the town centre. Inside you’ll find over 100 stores, a nine-screen cinema, bowling alley and lots of restaurants. In Watford’s High Street there’s lots of choice too – and a variety of events are held throughout the year. And for something a little different, enjoy a wonder around Watford’s market – created from 42 shipping containers with food, clothing, jewellery and more on offer.

A small walk from the town centre you’ll find Cassiobury Park – recently voted one of the UK’s top 10 parks. There’s something for all the family here, with a splash pool, water features, several playgrounds for children of different ages and a bandstand. Or just enjoy a meandering walk through the parkland – relaxing whatever the season. And don’t miss a ride on Watford’s very own miniature railway – next to the paddling pools, and open all year round (check website for times) for a charming ride through the woodland.
