Engineer Stores and Admin Assistant 

 

We are looking for a practical and detail-focused Stores and Engineering Administrator to join our bus depot engineering team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, is confident using spreadsheets, and doesn’t mind getting involved in stock handling and workshop activity. You will be responsible for ordering parts, managing and recording vehicle defects, coordinating fuel supplies, and maintaining control of all workshop stock—ensuring parts are issued and tracked accurately. Acting as the central coordinator for the workshop, you will play a key role in keeping operations running efficiently and supporting the engineering team to keep our buses on the road.

Uno is currently seeking an Engineering Manager based at its Hatfield depot. Your role will involve overseeing fleet maintenance and ensuring full compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This is a challenging hands-on role at a busy depot, with both Transport for London and commercial routes. Working as part of the friendly team at Uno, you will play a key role in the introduction of our new fleet of brand-new electric buses and the resulting infrastructure, as well as maintaining our existing fleet of electric and diesel vehicles.

We operate within a busy, unionised environment. Applicants ideally should have proven experience from within the transport industry.
